I recall when I started to draw this picture back in 2012, I had decided I would just draw and not care about the mistakes. And when I was thinking about whether I should do some realistic elements in it, I was just ‘whatever’ and did do those. Even after all these years, I still like how this turned out, having some un-typical elements for me. I don’t usually draw like this, so it was quite nice to draw.
The ironic thing about this whole thing is when I drew this way back then, my knowledge of Final Fantasy was merely based on some of Crisis Core’s cut scenes. I also back then only knew Cloud, Sephiroth, Vincent, and a few others by appearances. ^^' I recall I eventually learned about Cloud’s past and the things surrounding him, which made me all the more eager to draw him as I thought he was strong. (Not to mention, his backstory is just sad.)
When I’d almost finished drawing Cloud I recalled the illustrations about some of the Final Fantasy characters that always had some flowers in them. And I then remembered this old cartoon (The Mystery of the Third Planet) where one character said “I don’t like flowers. Those remind me of funerals.” So, since I was feeling quite down back then when I drew this artwork, I decided to draw somewhat flourish-looking designs because I was quite into those. I thought those would be nice and symbolic. I had also wanted something delicate for the contrast of Cloud’s heavy clothes and otherwise the heavy atmosphere around him, which I'm still not sure if I had managed to portray. But to me, he doesn’t look that happy-go-lucky in this pic. For the last touch, I added the Final Fantasy logo in this and a little bit extra. (His name is in Japanese.)

I spent long time thinking that was lion( the figure on cloud clothes) then i thought that squall is lion so its can't be ,so i said this is tiger and while trying to sleep it hit me that is wolf( the beginning of advent children movie, the wolf near the sword)...... i feel horrible
Final Fantasy VII RE(CAST)MAKE
One of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trailers emerged today & it looks great, but umm.... ummm..... why did y’all recast the entire English cast? The new actor definitely sounds similar to Steve but as someone who’s been aware of him for 20 years, it sounds like a person that SOUNDS like Steve instead of it actually being him.
I’m not bothered by Aerith’s new voice primarily because she had a few changes in the past.
And Sephiroth? George Newbern wasn’t the original English voice but his version is iconic. Good luck to the new guy because that was not him. (Not shading at all)
This is not a rant, I’m not triggered at all, but I am confused. If anyone recognizes any VA in particular, let me know. I am very interested in who the new cast is. I guess Tifa, Yuffie, & others will be new VAs, too.
