@strigct gets a thing (finally.)
Nights were usually busy for her. There never was a fully dull moment of when she didn’t have a handful of vampires to dust or a few demons to use as ragdolls. But this, the back to back days and nights ( for months now ) of constant demon and vampire activity picking up, was getting out of hand. Something was going on or was building up to it. New Orleans was a hub for the supernatural, yes, but the air had an electric charge to it that caused the hairs on the back of her neck to stand on end.
With the world evolving and adapting to the information of slayers and what they were there to do, all sorts of dirty laundry was getting aired. On more than one occasion they ( new watchers council of course ) had uncovered some higher ups in the human world who were far from being as such. However Faith didn’t know what to make of the current situation, but figured she’d follow Giles’ suggestion and start poking around.
For weeks she had been posing as a journalist, covering the various news conferences concerning the attacks. It was tiring, but she was sure she was onto something or at the very least hoped she was. Along with covering the stories of people being attacked by monsters or people high on PCP, the election for a new governor was underway. The two candidates was the current governor and his opponent who seemed to appear out of nowhere ( though to be fair she didn’t pay much attention to politics so she could have been a local. )
Undercover work was a pain in the ass, but she was good at it. Faith was currently seated, waiting to interview Dardari, Hinchcliff’s opponent. She’d already interviewed him and though she was 95 percent certain he wasn’t a demon, he was a sleezy dude that was lucky she was on the job. There wasn’t any high hopes of Dardai being the cause or knowing of what was going on, but it wouldn’t hurt to be completely certain of it.
