He has been on testosterone HRT in the past, but discontinued and hasn't restarted due to a distrust of doctors— however the writer claims here (link) he should still be on it, likely indicative that he has hypogonadism.

He KNOWS he's not a good person, nor a good father to Alice, who was a one-in-a-million chance conception with his girlfriend. And there's a good chance he'd go spare about being pregnant at all!
