I been often told that you guys are having hard time growing Strings of Pearls at home. They thin out and shrivel and start to look a bit sick 🤕 Let me share with you most common mistakes that growers make: ⠀⠀ 1️⃣ Not enough light Like any succulent, it thrives best in a strong natural light - medium to high light exposure would be best. ⠀⠀ 2️⃣ Planted too deep inside the pot The crown of the plant (that’s the bit just above the roots) should be planted around 1/2 - 1” below the top of the pot. If it’s any deeper + too much water = rotting = ☠️ ⠀⠀ 3️⃣ Too much water String of Pearls are veeery sensitive to that - after all, they are succulents, right? It would be better to underwater than overwater it, so before next watering make sure the soil dried out completely. ⠀⠀ 4️⃣ Plant in a hot, direct sun Try to avoid keeping it in the South or West window. If you can’t, keep it at least 5-10” away (glass gets hot and causes burns). ⠀⠀ 5️⃣ Frequent misting Again, it’s a succulent. Would you must a cactus? Of course not! ⠀⠀ Try to avoid the above and your pearled beauty should be just fine 💚🥰💚 . . . . . #stringofpearls #stringofpearlsplant #stringofpearlssucculent #stringofpearlscare #plantoftheday #plantcare #plantcaretips #plantcare101 #plantcareguide #plantcaretip #plantcaremistakes #magicgarden #floristrywithstyle #floristinbedford #flowershop #plantshop #florist #bedford #bedfordshire #bedfordflorist #botanical #nature #botanicalpickmeup #plants #plantlove #greenyourfeed #allthingsbotanical #plantlover #plantsmakemehappy #livingwithplants (at Bedford, Bedfordshire, United Kingdom) https://www.instagram.com/p/B7eU4YWH5IT/?igshid=1w0pais10gb2f
