Random thoughts...
I have 89 followers on this side blog of mine (opposed to a few thousand on my main), and actually I like that very much. I wanted to give people the chance to continue to follow my non D/s related content, after I decided to separate nsfw and sfw content, so I advertised my sideblog on my main, and explicitly told everybody what to expect in the future regarding content on both blogs. But tbh that wasn't an easy decision, because I was in fact worried a bit, that my sideblog gets overrun now too. One week later, I must say that I am very pleased, that my worries weren't justified and my sideblog is still my little private corner. Yes, it is also a little bit disappointing that almost nobody is interested in the person behind the slave but only in the M/s stuff, but that doesn't matter too much to me. I'm this kind of a person who has to write about stuff in order to process it, and for some reason it helps even more to publish it somewhere. But on the other hand, I can't be completely open with thousands of people watching me, that's just too much.
Here on my sideblog I have the perfect conditions now to openly write about myself and my opinions on things. I only have a very small audience of people who are genuinely interested in reading my stuff - at least I think that applies to most of my followers because otherwise there's just no reason at all to follow me on this blog - and so I can write about whatever I want without having to worry that it gets reblogged too much or becomes regularly part of public debates (of course you can reblog my posts here and discuss them if you want to, that's fine, otherwise I wouldn't post something, I just mean it will necessarily not happen very often just because the number of readers is so low and that I like that). For me that's the perfect conditions for a private blog.
