Things I learned from this stroke: even if you hate pajamas, it’s a good idea to wear them. Otherwise, when you accidentally slide off bed after failing to stand up and end up lying naked on your bedroom floor, trying to cover yourself with the sheet, until the paramedics to arrive. And when the paramedics do pull you out of the house on a tarp (because there are too many 90° turns in tight spaces to get the gurney to your bedroom) you’ll inevitably lose the sheet and the neighbors who came outside to see you what caused the sirens will get quite the show.

Got the news I’ve been for today. Fully cleared to return to running, no restrictions, and cleared to attempt the Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas half! It won’t be pretty, and if I’m honest it may not even get finished, but I’ll take the line just a little over two weeks from now and a little over two months from my stroke.
