The Drama
New Kristoffer Borgli film with Zendaya and Robert Pattinson. They play an engaged couple, and right before the wedding, something from her past catches up with her.
I didn’t find it boring. The two leads were pretty much what made it work for me. Zendaya and Pattinson felt convincing as a couple and had great chemistry.
My issue was more with the story. Without spoiling anything, it deals with a pretty heavy part of her past. For me, it wasn’t the subject itself that felt off, it was more how the film builds it up emotionally. At times, it just felt like a bit much. Not because the topic isn’t serious, but because of how big the film makes it feel. Still, the performances kept me engaged.
