he’s a challenge. it’s fun, most of the time, trying to tickle a reaction out of him, provoking him as much as she can get away with. there might’ve been a few instances when their game stopped amusing her --------- he takes his ( ridiculous ) attempt at killing her all too seriously and comes far too close to succeding once or twice, and valkyrie’s ( albeit unarticulated ) fear that gnaws at her consciousness throws her off more than she’d like to admit sometimes --------- but they’re scarce and she always manages to turn the situation around to being in her favour again. it’s dangerous, she’s well aware of that, but she wouldn’t dare imagine just how boring life would be without a little danger.
