it makes sense. but ask her in the morning and her answer might change. see, college is a brand spanking new experience -- from parties to new streets to run down barefoot at 4am and (unfortunately) corners of the library to become incredibly acquainted with by the end of the year. this, however, is not the end of the year. and clarke has many long, cold winter months to get through until she has to stare at the water mark on the second floor of the library while she rolls her eyes into one textbook's section on nietzsche and the other’s on contemporary art.

                        and for now, it’s 3am, she can barely see straight, and the music’s a little too loud and bassy for her ears. it's been a long week. for all of them. and with a long week comes steam to be blown off. and with that comes what clarke likes to call the fucked effect -- take that in any way you want, but octavia's nowhere to be seen and they’re supposed to be sharing a cab back home.
