Joe Strummer WILL urinate on you....I will never not post/love this.
I am so stoked, today is Strummerjam at the Stone Pony. What I am not stoked about is that it starts at 7...I get out of work at 8. I will rush for Joe, this is the only time when rushing is acceptable.
ATTENTION MUSIC FANS OF ALL AGES
While my sister an I have been busy doing absolutely nothing all year, my mom has been working her butt off to bring you guys the music festival extravagansa that is...STRUMMERJAM.
As many of you may or may not know, Joe Strummer was an extraordinary singer, songwriter, and guitarist who played in a popular punk rock band, The Clash (also know as "The Only Band That Mattered), and in Joe Strummer and The Mescaleros in later years. Joe was a true musical legend and visionary, although his life was cut tragically short in the winter of 2002. This year, the 10th anniversary of his death, my mother is honoring him by hosting a charity festival, Stummerjam, to help raise money for the next generation of great musicians.
The festival features many amazing artists such as:
TAURUS TRAKKER
THE RUDIE CREW
BIGGER THOMAS
THE PANDEMICS
AMREV II
CHRIS HAYWORTH
AND MORE TO COME
Also featuring a special screening of breakout director Danny Garcia's new film, The Rise and Fall of the Clash, AND a photographic exhibit by renown Clash photographer Joe Streno.
So come one, come all to a night of music and memories on December 22, 2012 at the legendary Stone Pony, located at 913 Ocean Avenue in Asbury Park, NJ.
More information to be released soon! If you wish to know more, you can contact me, my sister, or my mother at [email protected].
In order to get as many to attend as possible, we would really appreciate it if you would reblog and share this with people who might be interested!
We hope to see many of you there!
