Obsessed with the concept of Dabi acting like Tomura's attack dog. He's rabid. He's aggressive. He doesn't trust anyone.
...He curls up by Tomura's side at the end of the day and lets himself get pet till he falls asleep. <3

It's so important to me that Dabi is a little vain. Like, a normal amount. Enough to shoot down the slobby Dabi headcanons.
He obviously cares about his appearance. He does his hair. Deliberately picks clothes that are coherent with an aesthetic. (Even Ujiko notes he has a certain look when he says he has a Noumu for him that'll look good next to him, lmao, which was tbh really funny.) He went out of his way to get body mods, clearly. I don't think you get three whole piercings in the same nostril if you're not looking to fulfill an aesthetic. He is scarred and attractive. Being scarred and disabled does not cancel one's attractiveness out! And that's important to me!!!
These are such fun little details that give Dabi a bit more character. And it's also nice to see that a character can be disabled, scarred and put effort into his appearance. Which, in fiction, isn't always the case because unfortunately, disabled characters are frequently written to be one-dimensional... (Meaning, they won't have interests, a personality or any aesthetic preferences.)
I feel like it's worth mentioning because we have other villains like Spinner who also dress up (although with a different motivation) and also do their hair. (Which, not to make this about DabiSpinner but what if they do their hair together... Hair gel icons.)
But then there are villains like Tomura who couldn't be assed about their appearance. He wears a generic black top and black pants and red sneakers. (My teenage emo outfit, I fear.) He doesn't trim his nails properly, seeing as they're uneven and seemingly chewed on. His hair is a (gorgeous) mess, but he's not combing it, nor does he care about cutting it. He's not growing it out on purpose. He's growing it out because he doesn't care. Meanwhile, Dabi and Spinner maintain their hairstyles even as they're on the run.
Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but I'm fascinated by their personal habits... Says a lot about them as characters.
I just know Jin is the Always Worried About Her, omg, tell me ALL about this girl you like brother to Himiko, and Dabi is the nonchalant, we don't hang out & you piss me off but I'll kill someone for you brother, and Tomura is fully the What The Hell, Sure @ anything Himiko says/wants + lots of quality time brother.
I picture Tomura being so compliant with everything Himiko wants to do... Like, ok kid, let's read romance manga out loud together while you smear lipstick on my face idec.
She can probably play fight with Jin and Dabi safely and bicker with them for fun. I know Dabi has undone her hair buns more than once. If they get bitten in the process, that's their fault for messing with the wrong one! Tomura doesn't have that kind of brother built. He probably gets kind of nervous and jittery and doesn't enjoy it/doesn't KNOW how to enjoy it. He's just not very good at play fighting and it makes him tense.
Himiko is really affectionate and sweet and I imagine Dabi rejecting that, while Jin basks in it wholeheartedly. He's pretty affectionate himself for a guy that was lonely for some time; like, we can see how touchy he is even with Dabi. She feels safest/happiest being shown affection from Jin. I think Tomura was probably freaked tf out the first time she hugged him because he hasn't been hugged since he was FIVE. He kind of awkwardly lets it happen.
I'm just having so many Himiko thoughts.... My cutieful daughter.
When it comes to Mag (bc she obviously loved her), I think they were able to talk on a deeper level about stuff that mattered. Her, Jin and Mag, probably, because Horikoshi once described her relationship with Jin where he rambles and she listens to him and nods and smiles politely. I think to reign him in and also shed some light on Himiko's worries and trauma, Magne was a very crucial part of their relationship. She probably balanced things out a little bit and made Himiko open up some more.
Sometimes I'll look at a character and go. Oh. You should be puking your guts out with your knees bruised in front of a toilet bowl, pupils blown out, mascara smudged, hair damp against your forehead and stuck to the clammy skin of your cheeks, lips pallid, slutty outfit halfway off, tramp stamp showing, throat raw, voice ruined, eyes puffy and red from crying, nose running–
Anyway, that character is Dabi
Since ShigaDabi are flatass4flatass, Spinner has to bear the burden of having cake, or else, this relationship will fall apart.
Since the stupid conversation about whether Dabi stinks or not is making rounds again on the bird app...
I don't know who needs to hear this, but you don't have to justify being attracted to your faves that hard.
I think Dabi tries to stay clean. I think he likes being clean and understands he needs to stay clean. But it's implied by the state of the clothes he was wearing in the beginning of the story that he has had those for a WHILE. He's walking everywhere in that outfit, sweating, gathering grime and probably counting his change.
I hope you know that he's gonna smell like stale clothes.
He probably doesn't fucking WANT to. He doesn't have a choice, though. You can still think he's hot! It's okay, I promise. Holy shit.
Now that I'm talking about it, the League were homeless for some time, and chances are they didn't have access to a hot shower all the time.
It's always vacantly yelling "ableism!" without knowing what the word even means (specifically about the Dabi thing), but then I see fans turn around and proceed to sanitise and make the League's homelessness palatable and easy to digest by imagining that they totally, definitely are always clean and fed and don't have to pick between paying for gym entry to actually get to a shower and buying transport and fucking food.
The siblings are dancing together!!!!!!!!!!!!
The concept of Dabi being squeezed between Spinner and Tomura, and he's just so pleased because they're cold-blooded and he can finally fall asleep without sweating and tossing and turning.
