Back in 1986 the band Stryper released a 12" Single called "Honestly". This song was one of many of their ballads they had released back in the eighties. Known for being a Christian Heavy Metal band, they built a very large following of fans that included Christians and non Christians alike. During my younger years I've listened to this song at least a few hundred times coming home from late night parties and winding down my adrenaline from the night by playing this song. For me this was a song of reflection of those I cared about or thought I did. Over the years as I grew older (much older), and have faced many tribulations in my life, this song has become more spiritual in nature. It is God's calling to me when I'm weak and facing many troubles. The song sang of that He will be there in my time of need and that His love is true. Either way, it is a great song for both of what it represented to me in my youth and what it means to me now. @stryper #stryper #stryperband (at Santa Clarita, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CLcVmmbsjWS/?igshid=s6ruiyy7ion7
