Sneaky Little Thing * Yoo & Soojung
His rehearsed witching hour’s nap, 3:33 am sharp. An hour, no more no less, as he reclines his way into sleep, rhythmically counting to eight before snapping asleep on his office chair. He dreams until the clock hands point south and southeast, three minutes left in refueling his lifeline battery. tsk tch tchch.. Tile scratching annoys the unwary dragon out of his lulled state of bliss. Like a cat out of hell, his ears twitch in response to the faint, faint stuttering of shimmying. Someone here? With no knowledge of what in divine god’s name could make such sound at this perfectly silent time of night, Yoo heads forth to investigate. One door. A turn. Two more doors. Vase here. End table there. At last, the most likely origin of the familiar sound of quiet tile wading, the kitchen.
He distracts his senses with the taste of dinner, still fresh in every way and now awaiting a second helping in his refrigerator. The chicken taunting halts, as his vision redirect every other sense back to what is reality with him spotting the fridge light. On?! Gong Yoo rushes in to see the trespasser, unexpectedly frail and female, with eyes of the innocent and hair luxuriant. “Who are you?!” His alert readies his defense, as he demands quick answers before quick death. “Five seconds...” His more hushed tone waving more poison than the held back question, truly counting down, unlike his relaxation.
