It felt as if Merce was just stuck in one routine. Wake up, make some tea - go to the butcher shop and work till it’s time to go home. And repeat. Even though he doesn’t exactly have room to complain there was one tiny crack where he did have room to complain about one thing. His close friend, Cilla. He hasn’t really seen her with her being so wrapped up in the papers she write and with him being so keen on being kept busy with his job. Truthfully he missed his daredevil friend so, he made a change in his schedule.
Before leaving, however, the butcher made sure everything was in it’s rightful place and was ready for him to be worked on the following day. Today he got two cups of tea and made his way over to his friend. They still remained close, picking up where they left off as if no time has passed between them whenever they did meet up. Since Merce mellowed out, he stopped worrying about things he couldn’t control. Cilla’s relationship with Reed being one of them, it somehow made him feel a little more closer to her. Only cause she knew she didn’t have to walk on eggshells if and when she talked about Reed. As long as Cilla was happy, than the mer was okay in his book.
Merce knocked on the ajar door before pursuing to go inside. “If I see one bad article about the Butcher Shop in there. I swear I’m taking you down whiskers.” He said teasingly as he offered Cila one of the cups.
