In regards to Ych.Commishes.
I can’t believe I have to type this but recently my boyfriend had someone bid on a commission and then refused to pay by stating ‘Sorry, but I was just trying to get the ball rolling’.
What’s even funnier is that it’s a 10 dollar auction. This guy couldn’t even be bothered to accept responsibility to pay for something so small.
Bottom Line: What the fuck don’t fucking do that to people.
The site itself is not held accountable for these type of actions, so I have no qualm with them, but my issue is that people think this is okay to do.
If you are not interested in the art in which you are bidding for, do not fucking bid on it if you have no desire to pay for it.
Seriously, don’t bid on something you don’t actually want. That’s so fucking rude and hurtful to the artist.
The fact I have to type this is incredible. Please use common sense and don’t tell the artist that you’re not going to pay for something because you were trying to be ‘helpful’. That’s not helpful at all and just makes you look like a mega jerk.
Sure, the artist can just repost the auction again after this, that’s not a big deal... but the fact that they thought they were going to sell it to find out the person wasn’t actually interested in the art is what pisses me off. DON’T DO THIS.
