Sometimes I get bogged down with the intensity of being a student veterinary nurse. Theoretical studies on top of a 40 hour work week can leave little time for self-care and hobbies.

Every time I feel like I'm drowning, I try and imagine what qualifying is going to feel like and that there really is a whole world out there waiting to be discovered. The vast amount of opportunities is something I should be grateful for, not intimidated by. Do any other nursing students feel like this?

Every so often an extra special patient gets brought in. This poor little stray had even in an RTA and had a broken jaw and humerus and her bladder had been forced out of her abdomen through a hernia. Thank you to the kind people who found her and brought her in. She was super affectionate and happy despite her injuries. Sadly, her abdominal injuries were so bad she had to be PTS.
