At this point I genuinely do not know whether the results of the presidential election will reach me via an actual news source or well.

Working on transcribing a prose interlinear for one of my summer projects and accidentally mistyped "bosoms" as "possums." Yes, actually, I think the country nymphs should adorn their beloved pet possums with roses and lilies. As a treat.
I don't mean to frame it as a necessity or a civic duty or anything because there are a million good reasons why somebody can't, but blood donation is a pretty neat hobby! If you haven't tried it before and you meet the requirements, it might even be a fun summer outing. I learned today that my wonderful girlfriend hadn't given blood before and was interested, so we made plans to go to the same place as a date <3
I really do hope my beloved mutuals picture me as Anthony van Dyck. I do have an affinity for his art but more than that some of his self portraits are just. Me IRL. This was me earlier this year:
If I keep growing my hair out this will be me in a year:
And if I follow the vision I had of myself last year in a [redacted] hotel room this too can be me:
Hype to get to credit Frankenstein in my thesis (using a quote from it as the epigraph) but the annotated bibliography is due tomorrow and I have two very important questions:
Is it "Shelley, M.", "Shelley, M.W." or "Wollstonecraft Shelley, M."?
Should Percy be credited as the second author?
I fear it's lock in night for the thesis. If you see me blogging, message me and tell me to get back to work please.
Moving out of my dorm for the last time is scary. Mostly because it is quite warm but for other reasons too
Realizing that I could maybe have a whole scholarly career only talking about the historical fiction of the Enlightenment. Like, there's maybe a dissertation just discussing fictional portrayals of Friedrich II of Prussia and their intersection with 19th/20th/21st-century theories of government, perceptions of queerness, etc. And I would be really happy doing so.
