Beverly Nash and Lynn Woolson are unveiling new artwork at Studio TWOZEROTWO on Thursday April 7th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The pieces include an eclectic mix of mediums. Beverly is a hunter-gatherer in terms of found objects that are incorporated into her pieces. The flora, fauna, fish, and fowl of Alaska are very prominent in her pieces along with embellishments of driftwood, rusty metal, and other found treasures from antique salvage stores. Lynn uses a combination of metal, ceramics, batik, and fiber to bend, hammer, weld, and finish garden sculptures with a distinct patina and paint to create a joyful, moving presence and to enhance a sense of place and environment.

Catherine Hysell is the featured guest artist for November and December at Studio TwoZeroTwo located at 202 E. Main Street in Walla Walla. The opening reception will be Thursday November 6th from 5-7pm.

Czechoslovakian leaves, sea jasper, carnelian, blood stone are just some of the myriad of glass and semi-precious stones that Catherine uses in her jewelry which she sells in stores and galleries throughout the country. Through the use of imaginative color combinations, innovative wire wrap, and beautiful materials, Catherine’s designs are able to retain the artist’s individual look and stand out in a sea of competition. Her line includes her signature crocheted ropes, clusters, lariats, and chokers made of thousands of Japanese or Czech glass beads that bear an aesthetic resemblance to an exotic serpentine mosaic. Crocheted bracelets and earrings are also part of her repertoire.

Her style hints of past travels to India, China, and Saudi Arabia (where she lived for a time). There’s a sort of ethnicity to her line that is exotic but not aggressively so, one more facet that adds to the individual stamp of the designer.
