We recently took a trip to #thewhitneymuseum where we spotted artwork by Glenn Ligon. Glenn Ligon is an American conceptual artist whose work explores race, language, desire, sexuality, and identity. Ligon engages in intertextuality with other works from the visual arts, literature, and history, as well as his own life. I missed the artist statement on this artwork.
