There’s no one step fits all approach to managing procrastination. It’s going to happen, many many many times - whether it be in the context of study or work.
Sometimes, I think rest - removing yourself from the situation works, particularly if it’s a short term issue. Finding new ways to do the same old shit, essentially.
If it is a long term issue - something that keeps recurring for years after years, I really think it’s time to take a step back and consider your options. Perhaps the mere act of procrastination is hinting at something deeper - (and no, I don’t mean that “it’s telling me I’m A LAZY FOOL GDI”) - a career change, a field change, disinterest in what you’re doing, dissatisfaction/ distraction in other areas of your life.
And in the end, managing procrastination is largely dealing with the guilt that comes with procrastination.
So to that end, let me tell you: it’s normal to procrastinate sometimes.
We’re only human.
Human.
Not robots.
