A week ago, I started an online course offered by Harvard on edx platform. So far, I'm enjoying it a lot, but unfortunately I can't pay for the premium access, so my activities aren't graded by a professor and I can't get the certificate. It's okay though, the content is the same and I'm excited about it.

I definitely recommend going on edx or coursera and searching for courses on your study/work field, some courses offer free certificates. It's an investment on your career and life in general!

Sex is not a great reward for study. Everything goes out the window. What you've studied. Not clothes and stuff. Although it might do. I don't know how other people have study reward sex. And good orgasms do result in short term memory loss for up to a day in some people. So please don't use sex as a study reward. It's conterpreductive. But yes. Reward study is good. And multiple brain stimulants. Also rest. And making it fun/funny will help you remember. Funny and horror make things stick.

Like I said before, I don’t use it and didn’t know people did until today. I normally just reward myself with sleep and writing. Sleep after study is so satisfying to me like i feel like I did something really good for myself. Also writing is very therapeutic for me so it helps me calm down and ease my mind after studying for long.

math hater here- i found the best way for me to study was write out the steps in actual english next to an example problem. try writing out the name of the step and why you're doing it or just annotate the problem as you go. it helped me find a lot of patterns! plus i would just write the steps on a sticky note and slap them on top of my practice problems so i always had a reference. good luck!

I do find it helpful to draw arrows and write what I’m doing. It looks messy in my notes but I can’t have cute notes for the life of me. Thank you so much for the help! I need all the study help I can get!

I meant stimulate lots of things at once works with sex too. But sex and studying at the same time might work. Kinda using it as a reward when you've remembered something correctly. Just make sure you don't have a memory erasing orgasm. That won't help the studying. And thank you for the laugh. I should've probably worded it better.

BAHSHSH this made me spit out my water 😂😂. Me personally...I don’t think that would work but if that’s your study method then you do you😂 but yeah if you use something you enjoy as a reward(if it’s food, an activity, Time on your phone, watching your favorite movie, if you want sex which ever reward works for you sis🤷🏽‍♀️) then you’d be able to keep yourself motivated and the memory of what you study in your Brain. As long as you’re not only focused on the reward. I like to set an alarm for 15 minutes and study for 15 then take a break, I do that multiple times and end up studying for a super long time!

You know the song and therefore your brain will grasp onto any new information it is receiving as you listen. So when you think of the song at a later date, your brain will automatically relay the information it received when you were studying and listening to that song. Therefore. Audio stimulation helps aid a greater long term memory. Hope this makes sense and I don't come across as a no it all.

I know what you’re talking about! I’ve used audio stimulation for studying before and it works! I just didn’t ever think of before I go to sleep and as I fall asleep. I’ve always just kinda done it during the day when I’m busy to keep my mind on that.

most of my classical music collection is either piano music I know the keys to or ballet music I know the choreography to, so I can’t listen to that while studying

I can’t listen to my scores collection because that is my fun!writing music

so therefore I am left with gregorian chants, which have no discernible rhythmic pattern and are entirely in Latin which I cannot speak
