UGH I went through the same thing. They don’t understand that being a POC doesn’t give us a free pass. Studies have shown that scholarships and affirmative action programs help more white people than POC. :( I’m sorry you’re dealing with that too!
It's honestly really sad that I've gotten so many responses from people who have had similar experiences because it's a testament to how widespread this problem is...I'm sorry you've had these experiences as well :c
