Module 1 - Korean vocabulary
So I said I would start posting the vocabulary lists from the online course I took and this is the vocabulary from the first week. The list may seem a bit random but all the voc. is used for a specific theme (in this case Introducing One’s Friends).
기쁘다 (adj.) - to be happy, pleased
누구 (pron.) - anybody or who
동생 (n.) - younger brother or sister
많다 (adj.) - to be many, lots of
멋있다 (adj.) - to be tasty, nice, cool (meaning depends but always positive)
못생기다 (adj.) - to be ugly (a word I personally don’t like and use)
불고기 (n.) - Korean meat dish served in barbecue restaurants
시끄럽다 (adj.) - to be noisy, loud
아주 (adv.) - very (아주 NICE - SEVENTEEN - that’s how I remember this)
아프다 (adj.) - to be sick, hurt
영어 (n.) - English (language)
예쁘다 (adj.) - to be pretty, beautiful (Pretty U(예쁘다) - SEVENTEEN) don’t judge those are legit ways to remember voc
잘생기다 (adj.) - to be handsome
재미없다 (adj.) - dull, boring
재미있다 (adj.) - fun, interesting
키가 크다 (adj.) - to be tall
한국어 (n.) - Korean (language)
저, 이, 그 are adnominal demonstratives that indicate a specific object/person
저 - that (over there), is placed before a noun (used when object/person is far away from speaker and listener)
저것 - that (thing) over there, is used with objects
이 - this, is placed before a noun (used when object/person is close to speaker/far from listener)
이것 - this (thing), is used with objects
그 - that, is placed before a noun (used when object/person is far from speaker/close to listener)
그것 - that (thing), is used with objects
