My two highlights this week (not including being blessed by @woailanguages today):

On Monday I went to a Korean restaurant with two friends from uni and got a taste of 갈비탕 and surprised by how spicy 김치 is (actually burnt my tongue). It was still very good and can’t wait to eat there again! Yesterday I visited the library again and got my notes done, revised for our group tutorial and catched up on some stuff. Proud I’d say~

I visited the library last Friday to take some notes of a chapter in a book which is necessary for one of my lectures and since I wasn’t allowed to borrow that book I spent about two hours there.

Also I HIT 222 FOLLOWERS!!! I was looking forward this so much ‘cause 222 is my favourite number and I wish it wouldn’t ever change jk lol I love you guys so follow me haha I was wondering if I should do something special? but I have no ideas what since I never done sth like that before - so if you have any suggestions please share them with me!

From yesterday 17th January 2017 (my first post this year^^)

In the morning I learned some new Chinese Characters and their meanings. The blue ones are voc that I didn’t know until then. And honestly learning radicals or characters that often appear in words makes learning the language a 1000x easier. In the afternoon I had Chinese class and it was quite fun. Learned some new grammar points :)

So I said I would start posting the vocabulary lists from the online course I took and this is the vocabulary from the first week. The list may seem a bit random but all the voc. is used for a specific theme (in this case Introducing One’s Friends).

가르치다 (v.) - to teach

가방 (n.) - bag

공부하다 (v.) - to study

공책 (n.) - notebook

기쁘다 (adj.) - to be happy, pleased

남자 친고 (n.) - boyfriend

노래하다 (v.) - to sing

누구 (pron.) - anybody or who

동생 (n.) - younger brother or sister

듣다 (v.) - to listen

마시다 (v.) - to drink

많다 (adj.) - to be many, lots of

못생기다 (adj.) - to be ugly (a word I personally don’t like and use)

저, 이, 그 are adnominal demonstratives that indicate a specific object/person

저 - that (over there), is placed before a noun (used when object/person is far away from speaker and listener)

저것 - that (thing) over there, is used with objects

이 - this, is placed before a noun (used when object/person is close to speaker/far from listener)

이것 - this (thing), is used with objects

그 - that, is placed before a noun (used when object/person is far from speaker/close to listener)
