Chicago-based singer Isaiah Grass isn’t here to change the pop game, but he’s certainly trying to capitalize on it. He’s been developing his sound since 2011 and his most popular song “Pheremones” has almost 1 million views on YouTube!! This guy is developing a cult following with teenage females and definitely has the chops to back it up. Anywho, check him out and don’t forget to tell him who sent you! :)

Buxaburn

First post of 2017!! And we’re starting off with a doozy. Whew, Buxaburn has a solid sound. I’ll be honest, I get a lot of hip-hop and rap submissions and 90% of them are awful. I came across Buxaburn and feel so refreshed. He successfuly combines that reggae feel with hip-hop (kinda like Sean Paul, but a lot better). His tunes just make you want to bop your head along and the lyrical content is pretty good, too. Anywho, go check out this awesome artist and let him know who sent you!

JUNE 1ST

So. Skate and Surf week has officially ended!! I hope all of you festival goers enjoyed yourself. I got to hang around yesterday and pass out some flyers for Centennials (check out our music on the "About" tab above) and listen to a few bands play. I'm super excited to bring the blog back and in full force!! Hopefully, I'll be attending Warped Tour again this year and going to shows to find more artists to share with you guys. Important Things are Important.

Things have been crazy in my little world of roommate issues, family problems, thesis projects, my band, a full load of classes, and two on campus jobs. Needless to say, I've got quite a lot going on! So I've decided to put this project on hold until the end of finals. So you guys can look forward to new info from SRS only once a week on Saturdays until December 20, 2013. Thank you all for checking out these amazing artists and the music they have to offer. You can't get rid of me yet! :)

New Band: Sirens and Sailors

I caught these guys at a show at Dingbatz last summer and they KILLED IT. They were playing with The Paramedic, a band I met a few years back, and I'm so glad I went to that show. Their sound fits right in with other metalcore acts that are popular, but they still have their own distinct sound that draws you to them.
