And with a rush of tossing bags in the back of a minibus on its way to #Rîşcani, my 2017 #TEECH journey ends. The group successfully installed high quality indoor toilets in the #Sturzeni primary school, painted murals throughout the school, distributed aid throughout the community and country, visited friends from previous projects, and enjoyed Moldovan hospitality, food, music, dance, poetry, and art. What a great way to finish my service as a Volunteer in Moldova! I'm deeply grateful to the amazing TEECH team from the UK, Sweden, and Moldova for their openness, warmth, flexibility, delicious food, and the opportunity to be involved in this great work! We have been so warmly welcomed by the community in #Sturzeni throughout the #TEECH project. Tonight we had yet another example of that with an amazing concert, a delicious banquet, and a discoteca! #Rîşcani (at Rîșcani District)

A #TEECH tradition continues in #Sturzeni! Just across from the new indoor bathrooms we have a hand-print tree. Sergiu painted the trunk and each volunteer adds a leaf by way of their handprint. ♡♡♡ #Rîşcani (at Rîșcani District)

Today I got to participate in another activity that #TEECH does when they're in a village school installing bathrooms: taking packages to people who have difficulty getting to our work site. We went with staff from the Mayor's Office to visit 30 people today, building some international friendship and leaving a gift of some homemade blankets, hats, scarves for winter as well as some food and toiletries. Everyone who needed also received a mobility aid such as cane, crutch, or walker. It was really nice getting to know the local social workers better, getting to meet so many locals, and getting to enjoy the beauty of this Moldovan village! #Sturzeni #Rîşcani (at Rîșcani District)

This is one of many murals painted by volunteers in #Sturzeni Primary School while other parts of the #TEECH team are installing indoor bathrooms. This was designed and painted by Sergiu, a youth who has been volunteering with TEECH for 3 years and is, as you can see, an amazing artist! #Rîşcani (at Rîșcani District)

Ready for another great day with #TEECH in #Sturzeni. I enjoyed seeing our group's progress yesterday putting in the septic tank outside and installing walls and running electricity inside. The shop opened yesterday and was quite popular (a shop where everything is free to people in the community and families identified by local social workers received food). In the evening, I enjoyed an amazing adventure to a local monument and met many people along the way. #Rîşcani #AllOfMoldova #MoldovaFrumoasa (at Rîșcani District)
