What a cool art installation near the local museum in #Călăraşi! We went over to it because the museum building itself is stunning, then this caught my eye. Our amazing guide @cest_shannon not only gave us a great tour, delicious dinner, and helpful conversation, but also she helped paint one of the bikes!!! #AllOfMoldova #MoldovaFrumoasa
Ready for another great day with #TEECH in #Sturzeni. I enjoyed seeing our group's progress yesterday putting in the septic tank outside and installing walls and running electricity inside. The shop opened yesterday and was quite popular (a shop where everything is free to people in the community and families identified by local social workers received food). The only place I've seen this novel item is the city of #Briceni. It provides a clear spot for cigarette butts, marks where smoking is allowed, and reduces the chance of trash fires when smokers thoughtlessly throw still-lit butts into general cans. #AllOfMoldova (at Briceni)

"A small group of children can change a big world." I had a wonderful time yesterday talking with Peace Corps Moldova trainees in #Ialoveni yesterday. I love that the school they train in has this daily reminder for its students. In that we're kids at heart, I think we still can change this big world for the better through our daily hard work and commitment to positive, communal change. #AllOfMoldova #PST

Our time in #Ungheni was brief and hot, but nice. We appreciated how the city, capital of the district of the same name, has so very many sculptures. At one point we paused, looked around, and saw six different statues around us! It makes for a very interesting and curiosity-provoking walk. You can't see any sculptures here, though. This is Chestnut Alley - we're told it's the longest stretch of chestnut trees in all of Europe! #AllOfMoldova #OnTheRoad (at Ungheni, Ungheni, Moldova)
