i have three (3) star trek ocs. one is in sciences (blue), the other is in engineering (gold), the third is in chief of the deck (which is a position i invented, basically he’s responsible for all the auxiliary craft on board the ship, and its in operations, so he’s also in gold). they’ve been friends since the academy and once while they were on leave got bans for life from all ferengi-run casinos in the alpha quadrant, which is a pretty good summary of the trouble they get into.

i want to make the third move to command/helm/tactical so he wears a red uniform. 

cons: i really like the position of chief of the deck but i don’t see how it would be in another department other than ops, so his uniform wouldn’t be command/helm/tactical red.

pros: blue/gold/red trifecta lizard brain craving for balance satisfied

as it turns out, a vulcan, klingon, and sciantano (original species of aliens who essentially all have ADHD and a distrust of authority) all being best friends is just as chaotic as you’d think it would be.
