childhood friends:
1. stiles and lydia become friends in the 3rd grade when lydia is constantly being laughed at for her bright red hair & the fact shes super smart, but stiles thinks shes the most beautiful girl in the world & talks scott and his parents’ ears off about it. hes always been too afraid to talk to her though until one day he gets brave enough bc shes on the verge of tears bc jackson made fun of her hair so he goes up to her little table and says hi and shes like ‘are you here to make fun of my hair?’ and stiles is like 'no, never! i actually really like your hair & i wanted to tell you that you should too.’ and lydia is like 'why?? everyone makes fun of me for it,’ and stiles is like 'dont listen to them. your hair is really cool. like a princesses hair’ and she raises an eyebrow, and he’s like 'like the little mermaids hair’ (& he knows this b/c one day he was at the store w/ his mom & they passed by a ariel backpack and stiles is like 'this girl has the exact same color hair as lydia!’ and his mom tells him about ariel and he gets super excited!!!) and she grins & says 'really? like a princess?’ and he nods and she invites him to sit and long story short thats how she got obsessed with ariel for months and made everyone call her ariel except stiles who was the only one allowed to call her lyds
2. they’re parents are totally cool with their sleepovers b/c they’ve been having them since they were like 8??? one day they were having a play date and we running around the house & got super tired (b/c theyre 8) and they both fell asleep on the couch next to each other and sheriff and mrs stilinski were gonna wake lydia but she looked so peaceful in her little princess costume snuggled up next to stiles they called her mom and asked if she could sleep over & her mom agreed & they’ve kinda just been having sleepovers ever since???
3. they were each others first kiss. imagine tiny little lydia kissing stiles after he gives her a little flower. or imagine 14 year old lydia being super insecure with her best friend bc everyone at school had their first kiss and stiles hasn’t had his either so they kinda just kiss each other and its really awkward but sweet at the same time?????
4. the day stiles gets the jeep he speeds over to lydia’s house and honks the horn until she comes out & ofc shes like 'wtf stilinski??!’ but then she sees the jeep and she’s like 'what is that piece of junk?’ and he’s like 'our new ride’ and she’s just like 'oh no’ but legit in a month she loves it and the passanger seat forever has her name on it
5. stiles takes lydia to prom & thats where he confesses he always loved her & he’s had a crush on her for years & shes just like 'hold up? you had a crush on me for 8 years? get out i did too’ and they kiss in the middle of the dance & win prom king & queen :)
princess diaries:
(i had to dig through my memory deep to try to remember certain scenes of this movie but i edited it a little bit to fit stydia)
1. lydia found out she was a princess and freaked out (partly bc her 8 year old dreams were coming true) so she runs to tell her best friend, allison, and ofc allison’s brother, stiles, was there when she was spilling out the story so stiles wont stop teasing her with the nickname princess (bellarke parallel aw)
2. before lydia found out she was a princess she was super nerdy & wore classes & got straight A’s and then she gets all made up to look like a real princess and ofc she goes to allisons to show her and while shes there she asks stiles what he thinks and he’s like 'you look beautiful, but you looked beautiful before too. you always look beautiful’ and then starts stammering as lydia blushes
3. when word gets out lydia is a princess, shes ecstatic bc jackson finally noticed her and wants to take her out and stiles is like 'are you sure thats a good idea? are you sure he likes you for you?’ and lydia just rolls her eyes and says yeah dont worry’ but jackson eventually ditches her to talk to his paparazzi about lacrosse so shes deserted and allison is with scott so she calls stiles and he picks her up and shes like 'please don’t say i told you so’ and he says, 'i wouldn’t in a million years’ and drives her home in his jeep
4. rain kiss. just, that rain kiss. and you saw me when i was invisible.
5. lydia has to marry a prince blah blah blah but she wants to marry stiles so she manages to convince her gradmother to let her marry stiles and she becomes the first queen to marry non-rolaylity and its like a reserve prince william and kate middleton!!!!
