Because the Dystopia AU made me want to revive the OC from the group that’s from the Distortion World, I’ve been fiddling with his design to update it (I’ve had this character for around a decade and last update was maybe 4-5 years ago oops)… And the more I’ve been working on the update, the more I’ve thought about it and came to realize that if he was there, he likely wouldn’t align himself with either side in the conflict. Instead he’d probably act as an instigator and play both sides, or somehow end up playing some kind of mental 5D chess against Emperor Volo… Or both 😭

that's a really interesting angle to take! I sort of have a character like that in the AU itself, not aligned to either side really but I think it's more from the perspective that that would eventually change haha! i definitely love the idea of a character who's like that tbh Emperor Volo does need a 5D chess-esque opponent too >:D

Volo's heels being brought up again just made me want to know even more just how tall are they. If he's 6'3 WITHOUT them, how tall is he WITH them lmao? (I might need this info to know if a kinda silly idea for a drawing would work out or not and his height with the heels on is relevant)

i checked back on his reference to see exactly how i drew them because i couldn't remember too accurately LOL and then i looked at some heels online to see how that could translate to his shoes but i think honestly speaking i'd say between a 2-3 inch range (5cm-7.5cm I think?) so that would make him 6'5"-6'6" (I think 6'5" is a safe bet to say because DAMN this man is already tall enough ain't he LOL)

In an MMO setting, if Emmet's the one focused on party dynamics etc. I think Ingo's the one with the knowledge on how to solo optimize any build and any class My specific thought is: He's mainly a solo DPS player because he likes doing things at his own pace (and doesn't want to hold others back accidentally), but whenever Emmet's heading to a raid/dungeon, etc. you know Ingo's absolutely there for the team play too

ohhh yes yes! i think that's a really cool idea, especially since it matches up with their pokemon battling styles too!

I was so confused by the whole pickle Emmet thing because I'm sick and I've been off all social media, just sleeping. Then I saw him. And I... I just want to protect him. As much as I love pickles, I'd never be able to eat him. He's too adorable

oh good question! i think for me it boils down to a few different approaches... sometimes I just try to relieve the pressure on myself by accepting that drawing just isn't in the cards for me in that moment, so I try to just focus on doing something else, whether that be playing a game, watching something, listening to music, etc - I know that eventually the drawing bug will return and, if I'm lucky, doing one of these things will actually inspire me enough to jump back in and do whatever it is i'm thinking about other times I'll just rely on drawing chibi type things, usually submas or volo or something that i like and have a passion for, because chibis for me are relatively low stress so they can also help me with just... you know, drawing something and then from there i might get inspiration or an idea if I start to think about one of my AUs for example! one method I did for a little bit was actually write! so this is hyper specific, but I started to do this with Chapter 2 planning for my dystopia AU because a lot of things were vague in terms of paneling/flow/etc lastly I'm trying to be less stressed about things coming out perfect or drawing every perfect every single time (I've always had a real struggle with that, along with worrying that my work isn't good enough in general), so I just allow myself to draw whatever and try not to be too concerned about how it comes out. I find, especially after periods of time where I haven't drawn consistently, that I just have to shake off the rust and that's okay :D (oh also Pinterest can help inspire me a lot with things I've saved or new things that pop up on my feed I think "ooo this is so pretty this makes me want to draw XYZ")
