So I randomly stumbled across a video on youtube of a band doing a jazz/torch song cover of the Pinky & the Brain theme (with the original voice actors in the background), and now I’ve spent about four days going through the Postmodern Jukebox channel. So far I’ve really enjoyed:
A really stunning cabaret cover of Europe’s “Final Countdown” on trombone
A 60s “Mr Postman” style cover of “Feel It Still” (I have never actually heard the original song, but the cover is just amazing)
A spectacular 60s cover of Outkast’s “Hey Ya” (which I have heard and both versions are amazing and the cover is so much fun)
A more-than-a-little-surreal version of “Mad World” sung by a 7ft sad clown and a tiny perky vaudeville jazz lady (granted most versions of this song are at least somewhat surreal, but that … was an experience)
An equally surreal but quite poignant version of “Viva la Vida” by the same sad clown
A rendition of “What is Love” which starts out sane and then the entire band slowly lose the plot in hilarious fashion
A ‘Jessica Rabbit’ style version of “No Diggity”, which … does not feel like a sentence that makes sense, but hot damn it works just fine!
Basically I’m having fun with these guys, is what I’m saying!
Just a random charactre that I made, I tried mixing PSG style with SU I think its pretty cool :D yet I have no idea what to name her or anything XD
Ecclectic Interior Design I mix of glamour of twenties and simplicity of sixties.
