A trope you like in fiction but don’t like in real life? - I can do enemies to friends to lovers, I can do mentor adopts protege despite depressions’ objections, I can do Girl Walks Into Dangerous Situation Because She Is Determined, all of them I can do in real life. However, I cannot do “marriage first, love later”. It’s fun in fiction because you can subject all manner of angst to your main couple but still live in the quiet assurance that there’s no way they can break up. And when you lift that into real life? No. It’s horrifying. Why. - You’re essentially forcing a person, the more vulnerable party and thus mostly women, into a legal life contract with another person. And love coming from that is just a romanticized fantasy. Me tomé un respiro fuera de redes sociales. Ya me hacía falta desconectarme. El cierre de año 2018 no fue lo que esperaba, tuve demasiada presión y estrés. Antes me hubiera presionado para acabar todo aún a costa de mi salud sin darme tiempo de descansar o relajarme por querer ser la mujer maravilla. Pero el año pasado aprendí que no pasa nada si me desconecto un tiempo, sobre todo si pongo pausa en todo lo demás para dedicarme a mi, así que eso fue lo que hice. At the beginning of last year i probably would have kept going on even risking my mental and physical health, but not this year. On 2018 i learned that there is nothing wrong with having a break, nothing happens if i stop and focus on myself for a week (or two) so that is what i did. I’d be lying if I said our living room always looks like this BUT it can get to this state very quickly because everything has a home. Toy storage is something I get asked about often and so I’m sharing one of our favorite tricks for keeping our home as clutter free as possible. . For the most part, all of the kid’s toys are sorted by category and placed into separate bins:trains, animals, cars, tools, etc...These bins are stored high up on the shelves so that they’re not easily accessible. We manage the mess by keeping a rotating system whereby there are never more than two bins out at once. The best part is the kids know the rule: if they want a new bin, they have to pick up after themselves and swap the older ones out. .
