Aberforth looked at the letter he held, still not sure what to make of it. She had spent so long denying contact to either one of them, ever since they found out she was alive, and now all of a sudden, she wanted to see them? To get away from Gellert? He didn’t understand it, but Albus was all too trusting of the situation. He glanced at Albus, thinking for a moment before he spoke.

“You really don’t think something feels off about this all?” he asked, yet again. He had asked it before, when he first received the letter from Ariana, and even now that they were waiting for her to show up, it still didn’t seem right. “I mean... you and I both know exactly what happened in Paris. What about that could have possibly made her suddenly decide to come back, and give up on Grindelwald? I want it to be true, but... I don’t know, Albus.”

Aberforth wasn’t thinking as he reached over in front of Albus. His sleeves were only rolled up a part of the way, but when he reached for the piece of paper, it shifted the sleeve enough out of the way that the mark Grindelwald left showed - right in front of Albus’ face. He quickly drew his arm back, hoping that Albus hadn’t been able to make it out in the brief moment it was visible.

“Who’s the letter from?” he asked, intending to act like nothing had happened. “Is it something more about the blood pact?”

“You must think this is completely out of character for me,” Leta said in a hushed tone so that Theseus couldn’t hear. He was off with Tina going over plans regarding how she could deliver news in the future. “Given the student you thought of me as.” She had done a lot of growth in her time with Grindelwald. The kind of person she was becoming, and how much she wanted desperately to be back home in the arms of Theseus each night. But that wasn’t the case, and her pent up guilt and need for wanting to reset past wrongs brought to Grindelwald’s side as a spy.

And seeing Albus again, naturally, brought up old buried feelings.

               “So THIS is Hogwash!” Queenie stepped towards the castle like building, eyes swiftly scanning the surroundings before she allowed her gaze to land upon the other. A smile tugging at her lips, “Oh dear, did I just say that out loud? I meant Hogwarts an’ I’m sure it’s just the SWELLEST school there has ever been.” Of course it wasn’t, nothing compared to Ilvermorny but perhaps being in this place meant she could pretend for a little while. Besides, there wasn’t really anything wrong with Hogwarts outside of being a little overrated by all those who spoke so highly of it. “So you’re one of Newt’s favorite teachers huh? He might not be so keen ‘bout me reading his thoughts as much as I have been but I managed to hear some ‘bout YOU. I’m Queenie Goldstein, sister of the amazing Auror Tina!”

    “He is an almost immortal creature. Even if he is sick I’m not sure I’d be too worried about him,” Newt muttered as he looked over Fawkes. The phoenix did seem to be losing a touch of his usual sheen, and he was young to be near his Burning Day yet. Newt was more intrigued than worried. He hadn’t heard of a phoenix ever being ill before, and it probably wasn’t the case now. He might just need a slightly different diet, or more time in the sun. Scotland wasn’t the usual habitat for a phoenix after all. “What’s he been eating?”

“Am I in trouble?” Isobell asked timidly as she shuffled into the living room. “I didn’t mean to! I didn’t know I wasn’t supposed to say that!”

Her daddy had almost had a fit when she’d told the sales clerk he and her papa were buying her the kitten for her birthday before she went to Hogwarts. Aryan had stuttered out something about her great grandfather being ‘Papa’ before whisking her away.

“No, sweetheart, you’re not in trouble,” Aryan sighed. “We just... need to talk to you before you go to school.”

Evelynn walked into Albus’s classroom with a small grin on her face. She always had loved the room. It had smelled of books and dust, a scent of home. Where she accompanied Albus most days,since he had started teaching at Hogwarts. There was enough books in there, to last a lifetime. Even Evelynn hadn’t read them all.

“Morning.” She said, with a smile up at the man.
