@styleweekly really chose an incredible set of people. @mrchancefischer taught me to always be who I am, to never be afraid to let it all out on stage, and that luxury requires just as much audacity as success. #goadgatsby taught me what it means to be fearless. To stand up when most are only willing to point a finger, and to go where you have to go. Even if everyone thinks you’re crazy because they’re scared to do it themselves. Accountability. Also, the KoolAid dance is still legendary. Ask anyone who has ever been to a #FaceMelt @jimmybudd taught me style is an expression of character. I doubt I’ll ever dress as well or fashionable as he does (it’s the details man), but that’s ok because if I did it wouldn’t be me. On top of that he’s always been an advocate and inspiration in entrepreneurship. He’s helped so many people find their confidence. Im certain I heard his name long before he heard mine. @lucaswfritz is one of the main reasons I’ve been able to do anything in music. He’s taken risks on me and so many other musicians and allowed us to earn just as much as learn. He’s given me and so many others the one thing no one else was willing to give: a chance to work for it. At the same time he’s never given up. Not in the face of the pandemic, independent business ownership, or in beating some of my running personal records. He dreams big, then he takes the first step as many times as he has to until those dreams become reality. He’s about more than just throwing shows. If you see or know these people, give them their flowers. Tell them how much and why you appreciate them, then expand that principle to the one’s in your life who have made a difference in yours. Maybe they helped you see that you could, especially when everyone else said that you can’t. Or maybe they just made you smile. It’s all priceless, it’s all a privilege. Good work #StyleWeekly #RVA all day, every damn day. (at Style Weekly) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cbvgmi1Lfx7/?utm_medium=tumblr
