My sister and I finally got around to watching steven universe for the first time, and we just finished season 1! These are my thoughts so far:

Steven and Connie are adorable

Garnet is the best. Period.

I am VERY suspicious of the pink lion

Lars's character is frustrating but I still have faith in him. I know he's gotta be a good boi deep down.

Onion makes me incredibly uneasy

Despite the simplistic style of the animation it's a very pretty show!

I hope the other gems (Lapis and Peridot) join the main group as friends soon (I'm pretty sure that happens?) because I don't Iike seeing them as enemies and I just want everyone to be happy

How is this show so ridiculous and silly while simultaneously being so angsty and sad???

I am both excited and scared for the rest of this show

Something is nagging me

Pink Diamond was shattered in front of her whole entourage. Where are all of those Agates and Sapphires? Her pearl? If Pink was shattered in front of (presumably) dozens of gems, Why didn't they testify at steven' s trial? Surely they'd have more concrete evidence as eye witnesses to the crime first hand? Unless they're shattered?

Peridot is a dorky little gremlin (or as Steven put it, "an angry little slice of pie") and I love her

Mad respect for Greg. I didn't really like him at first but he seems like a really cool dude.
