In the land of the blind

Missouri slammed yet another book closed with perhaps a little too much force, shoving it to the side and narrowly avoiding toppling a stack she had yet to read. Elijah's visit, and the news the angel had given her had been disheartening, but it hadn't deterred her from researching- she wasn't going to sit around helpless while someone she knew was in danger. She needed some human contact: aside from a few murmured words to Bela, she hadn't spoken to anyone in near a week.

Who, though? All her normal contacts were either dead, en route, or otherwise occupied. Glancing over at the phone, she noticed a card sticking out from one of the may stacks of paper, and pulled it out, examining it for a moment before she placed it: it was Don's.

Taking a sip of tea, Missouri decided to check up on the warlock, closing her eyes and extending a tendril of thought, searching for the trace a mind like his left. Donovan? It's Missouri Mosely, are you occupied?
