It’s sad how many Muslims try to belittle you for choosing to seek knowledge instead of secular education. Seeking knowledge has now become less significant than secular education - this is causing the destruction of Muslims and the religion.

When you don’t have knowledge, you’re no longer able to defend the boundaries of this religion.. leaving it open for ahlul bid’ah etc to creep into this religion and corrupt it.

“The teacher of good; everything seeks forgiveness for him, even the fish in the sea.”

“The scribe on the right is trustworthy over the scribe on the left. When a person does a good deed, he records it immediately. When a person does a bad deed, he says to the scribe on the left: Stay your hand for six hours. If the person seeks forgiveness from Allaah, then he will not write it. Otherwise, it will be recorded as a single bad deed.”

Verily, good deeds will brighten the face, enlighten the heart, expand provision, strengthen the body, and cause love in the hearts of the creation. 
Verily, evil deeds will blacken the face, darken the grave and the heart, weaken the body, restrict provision, and cause hatred in the hearts of the creation.
