Anna took a small break in order to stretch before she returned to her log book. The contents in which she was scrawling within was documentation of the month’s donations, orders, resource stock and inventory. When she’d taken to running the clerk’s counter many months ago the smithy’s profits were still black, but they were close enough to eek out a small living at best. Most of the revenue had to be put back into the shop and its expenses.
These days now though she and Ajax were sitting at a point of comfortable returns where even taking expenses into account still left them with a hefty sum. What made the merchant gleeful however was the steady increase they were still seeing each month. It was small, but far from insignificant. With the last few entries made the red head wasted no time in peeking back into the forge where the Smith worked.
“Good news big guy!” Anna called. “Another month where our profits have grown by another good chunk of gold! Our last customer for the day went out the door fifteen minutes ago so I’ll be closing things down out front.” She informed. “Need anything before I restock the shelves?”
