"Aliza!" Morgan hugged the princess, pushing the bag of chocolates into the other girl's hands. "I don't know what kind of chocolates you like so I got every kind they would sell me. Happy valentine’s day!"

“Morgan!  Happy Valentine’s day!  Haha, you always give the best hugs!”  She gave her best friend a tight squeeze and then glanced at the bag in her hands.  “Wow... that’s... a lot of chocolate.  I love chocolate, but...”

“...It’ll be too much for just me!  Let’s share it!”

The look of incredible confusion on Corrin’s face was plain to see.

“That’s where I was for almost my entire childhood. In fact, that EXACT same thing is what happened to me!” 

“...Wait, what.”  She frowned, her confusion mirroring the boy’s.  “Yes, I’m from the Northern Fortress in Nohr... I know it inside out!  How come I’ve never seen you?”

“And-- and... Silas tried to sneak you out too?  What?”  Aliza didn’t know what to make of this.  How had she never seen him?  “Er, what’s your name?  Maybe I can ask Felicia or Jakob about you?”

“Wait, Silas?” Corrin’s brow raised as he spoke, “I didn’t know he had other friends back then as well.”

She tilted her head.  “Well, I’d assume he had lots of friends.  People are really lonely without friends...”

“Which is why he once tried to sneak me out of the Northern Fortress!  He’s so sweet!  I can’t believe I didn’t remember him until we met again this year...”

“...Maybe you have me confused with someone else?  I mean, you feel a little familiar too, but I don’t remember you at all... Unless...”  Her eyes brightened.  “We used to be friends when we were really little!  Maybe that’s it!  That happened with me and Silas, too.”

Morgan could hardly believe what she heard, someone is happy to be her friend? Sure everyone in the army is ready to follow her, her family will tell her how much they care about and believe in her. And all that means the world to her.

But Aliza calling her a friend, and hearing that word… She hugged the blue haired princess. “I’m happy we’ve met too! And now we can rub it in their faces that we’re friends~”

Letting go of the other, she didn’t even look at the flowers. The younger princess was better at making flower crowns anyway.

“Uh… Mother was apart of Hoshido so I guess that’s where I’m from?” She looked up, that sounds about right. “What about you?”

The hug came as a bit of a shock, but Aliza quickly relaxed into it with a huge smile on her face.  This was the first time Morgan had hugged her, and it felt... very warm.  Warm and safe.  Morgan had always felt like a guide and mentor compared to Aliza’s indecisiveness and shy personality, but this seemed to truly confirm it.

Upon pulling away, she continued her absentminded work on the flower crown, eyes mostly on the other princess.  “Well, I never did know my mother, but apparently she was originally from Nohr... I grew up in Hoshido, so that makes sense.”

“In a way, we’re opposites.  It’s funny.”

“Nope, I know for sure I’m from both. And if I’m not then my whole life has been a lie…” That last bit was meant to be a joke, Morgan is sure she’s not getting anything mixed up. But she also knows for sure Aliza wasn’t around when growing up, and wasn’t there in her time in Hoshido.

But if they’re both from both kingdoms does that make them sisters? Maybe it was like Azura, but Azura is like family. So maybe they are… Does her- no their siblings know about this?

“OH! Maybe they kept us as secrets from each other?! After all with the war it probably wouldn’t look good for either kingdom if it came out that they’re kidnapping royals from each other.”

“Hmm...”

“That does make sense.”  She paused for a moment.  “But, in the end...”

“I’m glad that we learned about each other even though they tried to keep it a secret.  You’re the best friend I’ve ever had, Morgan.”  Aliza giggled and tucked a daisy behind the other princess’s ear before looking downwards.  “Oh!  You dropped your flower chain!”

Promptly, Aliza picked up the scattered flowers and began to weave them together once more.  As she did so, she spoke again.  “So, Morgan, which kingdom were you originally from?”

「⚔」~ Gold Lovin’ Mercenary

“What can I d-” Without able to reply fully, he was dragged into the room and wasn’t even offered a choice. The mercenary watched her lock the door and knew he was… well, he was going to be in trouble either way if he Her brother, Ryoma and him, fought when he was still hired by the Nohrian Battlion. After admitting defeat, he offered Ryoma if he paid him equal or greater then the Nohrian were paying him, he’d join their cause and deliver vital information.

So now here he was. In the little princess’s room, knowing if Ryoma found out he’d unless Rajinto’s full power. He clearly didn’t want that. And if the girl.. Aliza, was it? Were to tell on him, he’d get scolded at by the other siblings. How troublesome the royal families are.

“Yeah, sure, whatever you need, kid.” He didn’t care for titles, he called anyone by whatever name he’d give them. So for now, Princess Aliza was ‘kid’ to him.

“What do you have in mind?” He would sit on the floor, cross legged as his sword were off to the side.

“You’ll really help me?  Really?”  Her eyes widened.  She hadn’t expected Clyde to actually say yes, but-- wow.

“Oh, that’s wonderful!  Please, please have a seat on a cushion!”  She plopped happily onto a pastel floor cushion and slid one Clyde’s way.  “The ground must be uncomfortable!”

After the mercenary was situated, she leaned forward, eyes practically sparkling.  “Okay, I was thinking of... maybe... well, I know I’m going to make a cake for him with Hinoka and Sakura!  But I also want to get him another gift...”

“You’re a boy, right, Clyde?  What do boys like?”

“Clyde!  Clyde!”  She tugged on the man’s sleeve to get his attention.  “Clyde, please come with me!”

Not waiting for a response, Aliza dragged him into her room and shut the door - locked it, even - when a wave of anxiety seemed to overcome her.  The previous energy in her had vanished, replaced with a bit of nervousness.  Wringing her hands, she turned to look at the mercenary and blushed.  “U-Um... Um, Clyde, I...”  Come on, just say it.

“...I was hoping you could help me plan a surprise for Big Brother Ryoma!  He’s been working so hard to take care of us!”  There.  Truthfully, Clyde was a bit intimidating to her, and she’d been nervous to ask him about it - but he seemed like he’d be good at giving presents.  So Aliza had finally taken the risk and gone for it.

Aliza tried not to be upset.  She’d been taught by Felicia and Gunter to always keep a smile on her face and stay positive.  But sometimes that got tiring, and the princess would find herself muttering under her breath about the most trivial of things.

“Stupid, stupid, stupid...” The princess paced back and forth across the hall, upset over the nonexistent supply of berries.  Aliza could not live without berries.  Berries were her favorite food.  And some idiot forgot to pick them last week.

She was so caught up in herself that she didn’t notice Fenna stepping into the room.  Back turned to the troubadour, Aliza continued to grumble about berries and how terrible meat was.

She still couldn’t keep the flowers together, the crown- or necklaces, whatever it was it looks like it’ll fall apart if you looked at it wrong. Even so, Morgan enjoys the peaceful times with Aliza. So she couldn’t get mad at the flowers for falling apart.

Caught off guard by the young blue haired princess’ question the flowers fell from her hands.

“Oh well, Nohr- no Hoshido- wait! Both, both sounds right~” Now that she thinks of it, is there really royalty anywhere else in the world? Or is it only these two kingdoms? “I’m sure that’s where all royalty comes from, I only hear about the two…”

“Oh, wonderful!  I’m a princess of both, as well--”

Wait.  As it sinks in, Aliza’s face contorts into a confused expression.  “Wait, wait.  That doesn’t make sense.  I’m... I’m a princess of Nohr and Hoshido, too.”  That makes no sense.  Unless there had been another case like Princess Azura, one that she hadn’t heard of... but in that case, why had Aliza not met Morgan at either castle?

“Are you... sure you’re not getting mixed up?”
