I wonder if people prefer emmet and ingo pokemonmastersex style (they consistently keep varying degrees of smile and frown) or anime style (where they have a default but still make normal facial expressions, so youd sometimes see emmet frown and ingo smile)

Do you have any headcanons regarding Ingo and Emmet's TV preferences? like what kind of things would they like watching

Okay I think they both love to watch train documentaries and stuff like how it's made. It's just fun! It's a lot of fun! And sci-fi, while I don't see them as die hard sci-fi fans I think it's a genre they both enjoy.

I do think Emmet enjoys horror! He and Elesa watch it together. :) he also love mysteries and thrillers, anything really exciting!

Ingo loves movies that make you feel things, whether happy or sad. Just not scared, he doesn't like horror lol.

Both of them like b-grade movies IF they're WEIRD. So like, hallmark movies? Nah those are bad and boring. Something like the animated titanic movie? Now why the hell did they make that, the guys have to find out.

Headcanons For Ingo, Emmet and Finley!

Sooo let's start with

Ingo and Emmet!

These two are quite known well in Nimbasa, and in some parts of Unova itself.

These two don't really have much of a circle of Friends with their busy schedule, only most small talk with the Gear Station workers when the two aren't with each other or with Finley.

The Trio take turns each Day with who makes the lunches, When it's either Ingo or Emmet the lunches are always neat and Orderly with Healthy food and a small snack for sugar intake.

The Trio always have their lunch break in the same place at the same time, talking about anything new that happened in the morning or showing each other Funny memes, or talking about Train Facts.

Ingo while mostly keeps himself on Track (hA train pun-), though out of work and not in a Emergency situation he can sometimes get distracted with overthinking about what's on his mine.

Ingo also has a Hard time with Smiling but tries his best.

Both ingo and Emmet don't have much of a problem with Physical touch.

(Okay I can't think of anymore for them 😅 I'll update later or leave suggestions!)

Now for Finley!

It took her a bit but she slowly warmed up to household when she first was taking in.

Finley gets anxious and shy around strangers, but once she's comfortable with someone She will feel more comfortable to joke around with them.

When she's excited about something, it's hard for her to control her voice level a lot like Ingo, and so the two instantly got along with the similarly.

Finley also has a RB Face which makes it harder for any passengers feel comfortable around her, though she can deal with it as she actually mostly works in the back office and helps the staff with Paperwork. Though she is sometimes a " Substitute" Trainer if one of the Twins aren't about to intend though this only happened Two Times

With the lunches the Twins had to show her how to prepare food as Finley had no knowledge of preparing food.

Once she got the hang of it, Though she's messy when she makes food and can't multi task all that well which causes her to stress.

She mostly makes Sandwiches as she knows how to make them well.

Finley has a unhealthy habit of constantly wanting to eat only sugar, the Twins have to make sure she doesn't eat all the cookies from the cookie jar right away..

Finley has no knowledge of where she came from, at first Pokémon scared her quite a bit. Know she thinks there awesome.

Finley doesn't really know how to do Pokémon Battles that well.. but the Twins help her with training with her Zorua.

Finley does not like Physical touch at all, it makes her uncomfortable, if someone is close to her they have to ask first.

Finley gets these flashbacks that are extremely blurry, it mostly happens at night so she finds herself sneaking into the living room to listen to the Clock that's in there late at night as it helps her to calm down.

Emmet and Finley mostly talk about Pokémon Battles while Ingo and Her Talk about Trains and their Pokémon

Submas Headcanons:

I will give one and only one warning: Bl&nk$hippers and pr0$hippers DNI!!! Do not make this weird.

So! First headcanon post! Been looking forward to this, so I apologize about the truckload below.

Ingo cannot sleep unless he is curled up in the fetal position. It's very comfortable to him and makes him feel safe and secure.

Emmet on the other hand loves laying sprawled out on his back like a Staryu. He will take up the entire bed and has even been seen falling off of it.

Ingo tends to pout in his sleep and sometimes drools all over the pillow.

Emmet sleeps with his mouth wide open and tends to kick in his sleep every now and then.

Ingo was always afraid of the dark and couldn't sleep without a light source. As he got older, he grew used to it but the fear never really went away. Once he returned from Hisui, he was terrified of the dark all over again. Sometimes wild Pokemon would attack him in the pitch-black darkness of Wayward Cave, which is what amplified his fear. As a result, Chandelure will stay near him while he sleeps if that's what he needs to calm down.

Ingo likes to take lots of naps. Especially after eating, as it usually makes him sleepy.

Contrary to popular belief, Emmet is the one who snores, not Ingo. You might be able to hear Ingo breathing but he never really snores. Emmet's snoring is loud, ironically enough.

When Emmet falls asleep at night, he usually stays asleep until the morning, waking up energized and refreshed. Ingo will most likely wake up for no reason in the middle of the night, and most of the time he heads to the kitchen to get a snack or some warm milk.

Ingo likes to wear his Pearl Clan hoodie over his pajamas, especially if he's cold.

Ingo likes to be bundled in multiple blankets all wrapped up like a burrito. Sometimes Emmet will get upset when Ingo hogs most of the blankets.

Ingo gets weepy when he's sleepy. He's more likely to get frustrated when he's tired, and will definitely start crying on some occasions when he's utterly exhausted.

Since laying on his back is the only way for Emmet to stay comfortable while he's going to sleep, he'll often get bored staring at the ceiling for a while. He ended up getting a galaxy light thingy that projects onto the ceiling for him to look at. It helps Ingo go to sleep too, since it slightly illuminates the room.

Ingo is not a morning person but Emmet is. Emmet will gladly drag a half asleep Ingo to work if he has to.

Emmet will be a bit more talkative in the morning, running around and saying "good morning" to almost everyone he sees. Ingo is more on the quiet side after he just woke up.

If the twins are sitting in a train and they get a bit too comfortable, they will likely end up falling asleep on top of each other on accident.

Sometimes Ingo will instinctively latch on to a pillow or blanket in his sleep. It's pretty common to catch Ingo clinging to something as he sleeps.

When they were little, their mother would sing them a lullaby to help them sleep. Nowadays if one of them is growing restless or has just woken up from a nightmare they'll sing it to each other so they can go to sleep.

Because of Ingo's preference to sleep with multiple blankets and curl up to seem as small as possible, it can be quite hard to tell Ingo is even in his bed in the first place. Just looks like a mountain of blankets is sitting there. This makes it very hard for Emmet to drag Ingo out of bed.

More happy submas hcs bc I can't sleep

Emmet definitely thinks he can use Ingo's gradual readjusting to modern times as a way to beat his ass in videogames, but the moment he tries to do that muscle memory kicks in for Ingo and Emmet's ass gets d e s t r o y e d.

Ingo knows how to cook Hisuian food now and Emmet's surprised that the food there was pretty good for ancient Sinnoh standards.

Hisuian pokedollars are colored like Monopoly money and sometimes the trio use them as replacements when some of the Monopoly money goes missing on game night

Sometimes Ingo still has some memory problems but he tries his best to navigate through them on his own so that Emmet doesn't need to worry

Emmet takes Ingo places on their time off because of how much everything has changed when Ingo was gone, new cafés, parks, movie theaters, etc.

When they can't sleep they make a giant pillow fort together with the Joltiks that like to stay up later than the others

The subway bosses as uncles

He adores his niblings, like this man has a picture of them in his wallet to show everyone who comes his way.

He is the one, who gifts them their first pokemon, much to Emmet's dismay who wanted to give them joltiks. And it was actually their birthday gift and good ol' uncle Ingo remembered their ramblings about what pokemon they wanted.

Ingo is also good at giving them advice and will gladly babysit them. Speaking of babysitting, Ingo and his niblings have a toy train collection that would make Emmet absolutely envious of; luckily its their secret and Emmet will never find out.

Emmet

The second this man found out he was going to be an uncle, he immediately went and bought himself a 'Unova's greatest uncle' shirt and a mug.

When his niblings are old enough to have pokemon, then in Emmet fashion he will gift them exactly 48 joltiks whom have been trained to commit all sorts of petty crimes and to protect them whenever he's not around or if Ingo upsets them somehow (it doesn't happen but Emmet just wants to see his joltiks going ham on Ingo).

Like his own kids, Emmet also spoils them rotten, to the point that Ingo has to tell him to not spend all of his money on them. And of course Emmet takes great offense in this but ignores him anyway and continues spoiling them. Also he knows about Ingo's train collection and joke's on him though because he has a garage full of toy trains and both his kids and niblings know of it but are sworn to secrecy.

(Childhood) submas headcanons:

- They probably got bullied

- Their bullies show up to the battle subway one day and Emmet has a fieldtrip insulting them after they lose. For once Ingo doesn't stop him.

- Emmet has more trouble waking up in the morning for school/work

- Ingo would make Emmet's sandwiches for him if he got up too late for school

- They shared a room as kids but each side was decorated differently

- Plushies of their favorite pokemon

- Practicing their poses in the mirror ofcourse

- Ingo is better at school subjects like history while Emmet is better at stuff like math. Idk it makes sense to me

- matching bracelets when they were kids

- Ingo would study beforehand while Emmet would do it last minute

- Ingo would probably help Emmet study if he was short on time

- Fake Pokémon battles on the playground

- Emmet is one cm taller than Ingo

- Or Ingo is taller idk i can't decide but i feel like they're not the same height

Submas sibling antics

(100% angst free. I spare you... This time :3 )

Ingo steals Emmet's socks.

Color coding them, saying "these are mine", embroidering "Emmet" onto them, putting them in a locked drawer, nothing works.

Ingo only ever wears one of Emmet's socks and one of his own. It drives his brother up a wall

Emmet steals hoodies and such in retaliation but Ingo (pretends not to) doesn't notice.

Emmet can get petty. But only for a day. He'll move all the scissors or brushes or utensils to a new area to inconvenience Ingo. But the second he's asked about it or slept on it he puts it all back.

Ingo can get equally petty. But he will instead post a "helpful tip" on social media, telling everyone what moves are super effective against electric and bug types.

You know Ingo's peeved when he posts a list of ground type pokemon with the ability Mold Breaker

Emmet is one for sick burns in the moment, Ingo keeps them for later.

Ingo remembers every time Emmet has lost. He buys him plushies of the pokemon that defeat his team.

"Wow, you must really like fire types." *Cue Emmet throwing stuff at Ingo*

"Emmet, remember that time you lost to a butterfree?" "I was TEN!" "Pinap Farms remembers."

Ingo is Emmet's go-to when he's full of static electricity. Which is OFTEN

He can and will barrel over tables and chairs to shock his brother

Emmet will take the time to create, print out, and put up memes about a forgotten chore rather than actually do the chore. (Unless it's gotta be done)

Hiding behind corners to scare one another. They both can get very focused so this happens a lot.

Each one will flip over the toilet paper. Neither cares either way but they both think it'll annoy the other
