“It’s freezing cold tonight....” Terra muttered under her breath, being as ill-equipped as humanly possible for the cold nights of the beginning of Spring. But, there was nothing really to it, hell, Terra had spent so much time deep in the valley that the cold barely bothered her anymore. What did bother her, however, was her chapping lips, and the growing impatience in her chest.
“I hope she’s not gonna flake on me. that’d be super uncool right now.” arms crossed over her chest, she rested her back against a nearby wall. a dim light glowed over her from a nearby lamp post, in this small pit stop about 5 miles from Inkopolis. she watched her battered jeep, wondering if maybe she should sink some of her savings into getting it repaired.
not like she could just buy another used one on the cheap, not much use for war cars nowadays. Maybe it was for the best if she didn’t, no point in leaving valuables behind if your chances of dying are always floating above 50%.
well, maybe thinking about the Jeep was the right thing to do. After all, the only other thing she had in mind was 789, the rogue octoling agent who’s been kidnapping octolings from inkopolis for their own ends. Terra feared the worst, but hopefully, her contact would have good news.
