I have a question I’ve been wanting to ask about the succubat for a very long tine around the Tumblr porn purge I just lost your account here until recently so my question if the host doesn’t want the succubat dose it willingly detached from the host or dose the host need to to seek out a medical treatment to get it removed??

it's permanent. trying to remove it would be removing part of the person's spine and nervous system. and for all of their work to paralyze themselves, they'd still be changed; they'd look like a symbiont.

a more practical route for symbionts trying to distance themselves from things would be like, contacts, makeup, and clothes that hide symbiont traits. masking as asymbiotic is a thing that's easy for some people, and hard for others. Or they'll just, stay out of symbiont communities. there's plenty of people willing to give credibility and something surprisingly like acceptance to a symbiont who will disavow succubats.

daisy: what is your favorite flavor of cotton candy, ice cream, and juice?; 

cotton candy is actually one of those things i go out of my way to get interesting flavors of and my favorite ive found so far is buttered popcorn!!! ice cream is pretty simple im usually a banana or sweet cream/vanilla person but toasted coconut on top is a plus. my favorite juice is this italian tea-peach mix and it comes in this cute curvy pom-like bottle i just don’t remember the name but if i find a picture i absolutely will put it here~

Ever wonder what would happen if a succubat and cherubee procreate? Sorry, all I can think of is some sort of fallen angel type of thing from that.

like the hosts? they'd be able to inherit chitin patterns and all transformed features except what is physically the symbiote itself. so like, no butt wings, unless they were integrated with actual wings. if the tail is literally just the bat or bee, they don't pass it on.

the transformed self can be treated as the new baseline of what that person is, and will be passed along like any other traits, accounting for the like, randomness from having two parents.

what is an asym?

Someone without a symbiote.

Hosts call themselves “Symbionts” so they aren’t calling themselves “Hosts”. Symbionts call non-symbionts “Asyms”, because “normal” isn’t acceptable and terms like “non-symbionts” is long and awkward.

I take it succubat hosts can have babies just the same as normal

Yes, and because this isn’t always clear: Any kids a succubat host has will be an asym. If the parents kept their original baby making equipment, the kid will look like any other Asym. If the parents got new genitals from the change, their kids will inherit their horns, hooves, and hive coloration (obviously the other parent matters too :v)

Crown crab hosts can also have kids, but Hive Queen hosts can’t.

I dunno if you've answered this question before, but could a succubat host who did not wish to be a host refuse to cooperate with or even associate the hive, or even conceivably work against it?

Succubat hosts are not forced to join a hive, and can work against them. They’d just have to deal with the same prejudice as hive loyal peeps, lots of suspicion  all the time from people who just see them as some sorta succubat body snatcher, and the fact that like, the succubat makes them feel empathy for other symbionts.

So, you can, but your symbiote is just going to be sad and worried and stressed a lot, and you’re getting those hormones too. Also like, being a succubat symbiont, maybe you’d wonder why you’re perfectly able to just be you still?

what is the mortal enemy or apposing species to the succubats?

Most local predators, especially cats and large birds. Also people who hate succubats, and are trying to exterminate them. Succubats as a species basically rely on numbers and pairing with a stronger, more intelligent species in order to do well
