Amaterasu!
Amaterasu || Female || Kaminary || Bashful || – || Flash Fire WIP No Held Item (at the moment) Lilynary → Kaminary Amaterasu is a guardian of Fire Island, working as a subordinate to Moltres. She is highly respected by the Fire Island inhabitants and has a certain aura that compels other Pokémon to heed her words. She is a competent wielder of her fiery and psychic powers, yet despite all the wisdom she gives and the attention she receives she is quite bashful and prefers to stay out of the limelight. Her story begins when the Meteroic Pokémon arrive in Tohoak. Sensing a disturbance and not wanting Moltres to wake from his slumber, Amaterasu ventured outside of the Fire Island caves to be greeted by a terrifying sight. Lylapse stood before her, an evil look on its face. She tried to defend her island but the distortion of space around her caused her to be flung through dimensions until she returned ... as a Lilynary. Startled by what had just happened, Amaterasu fled back inside the caves so that she could re-cooperate and decide on what to do. After months of being stuck as a Lilynary, Amaterasu heard the sounds of visitors to her caves. She encountered Rushlink and his team, one of whom was a previous resident - Seto. The Solarisen jumped at the chance to recruit another Fire-Type and Amaterasu agreed. She only spent a few days with the team before realising that they were the ones who could defeat the Meteoric Pokémon. When she realised this, she returned to her Kaminary form. When she ‘evolved’ again, Seto was shocked - he remembered a Kaminary being a guardian of Fire Island and one that he and his little brother looked up to. Amaterasu gave a smile to Seto and said that she was the same Kaminary before apologising for lying. She was grateful to the team for helping her to return to her normal form and proceeded to leave, but Seto stopped her. He begged her to stay as a member of the team. Amaterasu agreed on the condition that she had to remain as acting guardian until she was called upon for battle. She had a job to do, after all, whilst Moltres was asleep! Seto agreed and added one final promise - to take care of his brother. Amaterasu gladly agreed and returned to Fire Island until she needed to be called upon.
- Amaterasu’s name comes from the Japanese goddess of the sun. She went by the name of Ama when the team first found her. - Previous nickname was Beckett before I remembered I have a Sableye named Beckett. [I wanted a Kaminary Beckett and a Cloubus Castle]. - Amaterasu picked the nickname Ama so as to not divulge her real name. - She is currently Seto’s brother’s guardian. - Amaterasu loves rice balls and jelly doughnuts (three guesses as to what this references?) - She can be called upon by yelling out, “Sun goddess, Amaterasu, let your fiery powers aid us!” - Dislikes the stereo-type that all Psychics are magicians of some sort.
