Shattered Glass please i fuckin love sg stuff

Shattered Glass OP is branded as a terrifying, ruthless killer who’ll even kill his own kind in cold blood which is something even our most terrifying Megatron won’t do unless it’s nameless subordinates. Shattered Glass OP doesn’t have that restraint. He’s a fighter, the Autobots were formed because they despised the peaceful life of Cybertron. Yeah, they literally started fighting because they hated peace.

The Autobots in Shattered Glass are fighters with little to no remorse. Our worst Decepticons, not Shattered Glass, didn’t start wars because they hated peace. They were fighting injustice (I won’t go off on this tangent but it’s a shame so few people read into how the Autobot/Decepticon wars often started because of what would equal racism/classism. But that’s an answer for another day). Our Decepticons were bred fighters, yes, but the Decepticons as a whole were formed because many of them were being treated unfairly and they just wanted a better, equal life.

Shattered Glass Megatron is not that much of a fighter but he is insanely smart. Using math, he predicted civil war and started forming an underground resistance to fight back. A resistance that would bring in like minded bots who would rather avoid war, but knew they had no choice but to fight.

This dynamic is so much more....dynamic than the usual Autobot/Decepticon divide. You have Autobots who all they want to do is murder. They’re not fighting for a cause that turns the war into a grey area, they want to kill. And Optimus is the most bloodthirsty of them all. The Decepticons are formed and fight only because they want to live. 

In another reality, Shattered Glass Optimus Prime is an even worse being than Megatron could ever be.
