In truth Sersh had needed a moment to herself. Lifting up everyone else was exhausting and had started to take it’s tole on her. Being the shoulder to cry on, the one who tried to comfort everyone was challenging as it was when comforting wasn’t something that necessarily came naturally to her. She’d look at her sisters, Marianne in particular, and wondered how anyone could be so selflessly giving. She took take of everyone, she always had. Now with the roles reversed, Sersh was trying her best to hold even an ouch of what both of her sisters held. But it always seemed to lack in her.
Butterbeer clutching tightly in her hands, a shaky breath fell of her lips as she ran a hand over her tired face before taking a sip. It felt like there was a heavy grey cloud lingering over Diagon Alley that day. And even in Fair Fortune it was no different. Apart from two wizards who were taking it upon themselves to spew shit. Sersh had stayed silent, begrudgingly putting up with it, figuring they’d just had too much fire whiskey. That was until one of them started bad mouthing the Bagnold family. Millicent Bagnold in particular, which of course then led to Booker. Instantly the fire burning in the girls gut light, as she was gearing to get up onto a stool so her 5′4 self seemed atleast a little more intimidating. “Are ye jokin’?” The Irish witch grumbled as she moved to stand. Ready to shout her voice louder above theirs and intervene, only stopped when a hand caught her arm. Eyes turning back to the younger witch next to her, Sersh’s brows furrowed as she turned her eyes from Doe to the unruly men. “What are ye-..Did ye not hear what they said?”
