The Giver is far superior to the movie. When I saw the trailer, it made me so angry that they ruined so many vital parts of the story. When you read it, it will be dramatically different fromt the movie. Setting, characters, themes, many things.
I might read it some day. Right now I’m taking an indefinite break from reading YA.

Why the hell did you say no? I miss homecoming, but I’m not in a university :(
i have really bad anxiety and dances are 1) dark 2) full of people and 3) very loud which are all things that are incredibly difficult for me to deal with separately, let alone all together. i'd love to be able to do something like that someday but right now it just isn't really feasible.
