Will Sucktember run again this year?
Allie and I have decided we're not interested in running this event again. We loved the positive vibes and the fabulously smutty submissions, but we've started running a fandom-specific event that keeps us occupied.
If there's someone out there who wants to take over Sucktember going forward, send us an ask or a DM and we'll chat.

I was wondering if it was possible for a header to be created that we could use on the fics which say sucktember but don’t necessarily list all the prompts? Just so we can promote the event without using the larger picture which has everything listed?

Hi! I noticed that fics aren’t auto going into the collection which isn’t a problem. I just was wondering how often mods would go accept fics into the collection on A03. I find A03 easier to find fics in then to scroll on the tumblr sight.
Nonnie, I appreciate you. Definitely forgot our collection was moderated for a minute. All works that have been submitted to the collection before now have been accepted. Also, settings have been updated so the collection is no longer moderated --- fics should auto appear now!
Does each prompt have to include the mouth as the focus of it? Or can we write them applying to something else?
Hello! A mouth is a bonus, but you can absolutely write them applying to something else — whatever speaks to you! You can follow the prompts as closely or as loosely as you’d like ❤️

Regarding 2022, can the submission be a chapter from a story? Is there a minimum / maximum word count? Can it gave a photoset/moodboard thing attached? (Nothing graphic or explicit. Just…moody.)
And are the Alternate prompts useable instead of the subjects or are the “in addition to” the subject of the day?

Happy Virgo Season, sweet angel! This event is as low pressure as it gets, so the first answer is yes. Submissions can be a new chapter of a pre-existing story, a new work in a pre-existing series, or a new work itself.
We absolutely welcome moodboards and graphics of any kind — whatever your heart desires! If you do choose to create a NSFW graphic, hosting it somewhere like AO3 where Tumblr won’t eat it is a great idea; you can create a tumblr post to tag us in so we know what to reblog!
There is no minimum or maximum word count; whatever your muse calls you to write or create, we’re happy to accept.
Our alternate prompts are designed to take the place of any prompt that doesn’t speak to you, but you are also welcome to use them however you see fit.
Additionally, you’re welcome to combine prompts from different days into a single work. So long as you tag things appropriately, we’re ready to go with the flow.
