curious about a great many of those horror games, but because I'm from Michigan, the 'michigan: report from hell' title grabbed my attention, lol. what is its deal?

It's a fascinating one. First of all, it's not set in Michigan per se, rather in Chicago, following the crash of an airplane into Lake Michigan. The player takes on the role of a cameraman for a TV news crew doing an on-site report on the incident, later attacked by vicious monsters. Largely, the game is played in first person as if from behind a camera's viewfinder. The player can essentially move and operate a camera, aside from minor interactions with the surrounding. The outcome of the game is determined by choices made, namely what objects are focused on with the camera. It's a B-Horror gem produced on a shoestring budget. For all its defects and insufficiencies, it presents a novel concept coming from a true desire to introduce something new to the genre. Thanks for visiting!
