WHY play into stereotypes and make vriska a slytherin (or even a gryffindor for that matter) when you can subvert tropes and make her a pureblooded witch from a long line of ravenclaws with a strong inclination for divining and ties to/interest in some VERY questionable (but not outright dark/illegal) magic
