How do you feel about makittuq x sud?

Wait a minute… you’re cooking. I see the vision. Walk with me…

I feel like Makittuq, at least at first, would have no idea what to do/how to react to Sud. I imagine her as being somewhat shy? Definitely friendly to those who approach her, but still somewhat in her shell due to her family’s rejection of her gender/true self.

Sud, on the other hand, would be slightly put off by her slightly closed off nature - though he’d still be intrigued and work to become friends/closer. He’s stubborn and very kind!!! Based on both ATLA canon and my own, he is very bold and blunt; not in like the ‘Oh I’m blunt so that means I just say whatever I want and you can’t complain when I say something mean!’ way - he’s just very open with his feelings, having a very friendly & very out there personality. Sometimes his words can be a little harsh but never malicious. Most of the time lol

Once they really get to know each other though, I can see them gelling pretty well; they’d be a bit awkward at first, and I can’t quite definitively see them getting a bit frustrated with one another since they’re pretty different, at least on the surface level (it’s like jock x shy girl unironically lmfao)

Sud would bring her out of her shell (my guy is definitely a hype man. It’s like those guys who go gaga over their partner even when they’re barely put together). Makittuq would get him to slow down almost, softening (not ‘mellowing him out’ but something similar. I can’t quite think of the word but hopefully you get what I’m trying to say?)

Something something the metaphor of a stream running over stone and smoothing it out while the stone provides a strong foundation for the stream to keep moving. Is it cliche? Yes. But it fits.

Really the biggest issue is that they’re both bottoms 🤷‍♀️ But that’s a topic for another day lmfao
