Last night #Ruth from the #SuffragettePups and #Chuck from @hathorhamstery’s DC litter came back to SBH. While it’s always fun to see our babies, I wish it had been under better terms. Sadly, their owner had to return them due to some unforeseen circumstances. It was not a decision that was made lightly, especially given how loved both Ruth and Chuck are by them (and it shows - both are chunky, happy and healthy!). They arrived with all their goodies in tow to make the transition as stress-free as possible. As ethical breeders, our responsibility to our pups doesn’t end once they go home. We provide support to our adopters throughout the hamster’s lifespan. We also will take back any pups of ours, no questions asked, no judgement passed. No matter what, my pups will always have a home here. I never want one of my pups to end up in classifieds, or in a rescue. I love each and every baby as if they are my own. Ruth has already found a new home, however Chuck will be looking for one. He has the opportunity to hop on a plane with Ruth, Pixel and Tarana and go to Edmonton should someone there want him, or he can be adopted locally.
